What am I paying for?
You're paying for one considered response from a creator you choose.
- One written or voice response (based on the format you select)
- Delivery within the time shown on the profile
- No ongoing conversation or follow-ups
When do I get charged?
Your payment method is pre-authorized when you submit a request.
The charge is completed only after the creator delivers their response. If no response is delivered, no charge is made.
What if the creator doesn't respond?
If the creator doesn't deliver a response within the stated time:
- The request is automatically declined
- Your payment is never paid
- You never pay for a missing response
Is this a chat or a conversation?
No.
goAsk is not chat or messaging. Each request includes one response only.
If you want more input later, you can submit a new request.
What's the difference between a written and a voice response?
Both formats deliver the same level of care. The difference is in how the response is delivered.
Creators may charge more for voice responses because they take more time.
Can I ask anything?
Each creator defines what they do and don't respond to on their profile.
Requests that fall outside those boundaries may be declined.
What if I'm unhappy with the response?
After delivery, you can leave a review.
If a response is clearly off-topic or low effort, you can flag it for review. goAsk reviews flagged responses and takes action when needed.
Can I get a refund?
Because payment happens only after delivery, refunds are rare.
In cases where a response clearly violates platform rules, goAsk may issue a refund after review.
Can I submit follow-up questions?
Each request includes one response.
If you want to ask another question or go deeper, you can submit a new request at any time.
What am I offering on goAsk?
You're offering paid, asynchronous responses to direct questions from your audience.
- One question
- One response (written or voice)
- No follow-ups unless the asker submits another request
When do I get paid?
Payment is paid only after you send your response.
goAsk automatically applies the platform fee and adds your earnings to your balance.
How much does goAsk take?
goAsk takes a 20% platform fee from each completed request.
You always see your earnings after the fee before withdrawing.
When can I withdraw my earnings?
You can request a withdrawal once your balance reaches $25 or more.
Withdrawals are reviewed and processed through supported payout methods.
Do I have to accept every request?
No.
- Accept requests that fit your expertise
- Decline requests that don't
- Block askers if needed
You're always in control.
What if a person asks something inappropriate?
You can decline the request or block the person.
You can also flag abusive or inappropriate requests. Repeated abuse leads to restrictions.
Can askers message me back?
No.
No. There is no chat or messaging system. Each request includes one response only.
What happens if I don't respond in time?
If a response isn't delivered within the stated time:
- The request is automatically declined
- The asker is not charged
This protects both sides and keeps expectations clear.
How are reviews handled?
Askers can leave one review after a response is delivered.
Reviews are tied to completed requests only. There is no review spam or public comment threads.
Can I pause requests?
Yes.
You can enable vacation mode to temporarily stop new requests. Vacation mode can be set for up to four weeks at a time.
