This Privacy Policy explains how goAsk ("goAsk", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the goAsk app and related websites (together, the "Service").

goAsk operates the Service and acts as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service, unless stated otherwise in this Policy.
This Policy applies to all users of the Service, including askers and creators.

- Authentication identifiers
- Login method (email/password or third-party login)
- Account role and status
We use Supabase as our authentication provider. Users may sign up or log in using email/password or a supported third-party provider (such as Google).
2.2 Profile information
- Handle and display name
- Avatar or profile image
- Optional profile details you choose to provide
- Creator-specific settings (such as pricing and availability)
2.3 Transactional and financial data
- Requests and booking records
- Payment amounts, platform fees, and payout amounts
- Payment and payout status
- Related transaction identifiers
Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by goAsk.
2.4 Content you submit
- Questions submitted by askers
- Responses submitted by creators (text and/or audio)
- Reviews and feedback
- Moderation reports or flags
2.5 Creator verification data
If you are a creator and choose to verify ownership of a social channel, we may collect:
- Basic public account information from connected platforms (such as channel name, username, profile image, or public profile link)
- Verification signals confirming account ownership
- Screenshots or images you submit as proof of ownership (for example, from Instagram)
This information is used only to assess and maintain verification status and is not used for advertising.
2.6 Usage and technical data
- IP address (processed in truncated or hashed form where possible)
- Device and browser type
- Pages viewed and actions taken
- Approximate timestamps
This data is used for security, reliability, analytics, and abuse prevention.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service.
3.1 Essential cookies
Essential cookies are required to:
- Keep you signed in
- Maintain session state
- Support secure authentication
- Protect against fraud and abuse
These cookies are necessary for the Service to function.

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how the Service is used and to improve performance and reliability.

- Supabase (authentication)
- Stripe (payment processing and payouts)
- Vercel (analytics)
- Email delivery providers
These providers process personal data only on our instructions and subject to contractual safeguards.

- Protect the rights, safety, and integrity of goAsk, its users, or others

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to: operate the Service, fulfill contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods vary by data type. Financial and audit records may be retained longer where required by law.
